Thomas Jefferson University is a private health sciences university in Center City Philadelphia, founded in 1824 as Jefferson Medical College — one of the oldest medical schools in the US. After its 2017 merger with Philadelphia University it now spans medicine, nursing, pharmacy, design, and engineering. Jefferson is closely affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
